I am a Londoner who spent the summer of 2010 in New York on a volunteer exchange programme with Winant Clayton Volunteers. I was placed with Project FIND, a non-profit organisation, providing supportive housing for older people and senior centers in Manhattan, New York.

My first week
Wow - what can I say! It feels like I've been here a lot longer than a week. The heat is oppressive, as is my small room, but the city is amazing. I'm not used to writing more than 140 characters in Twitter... so I will continue this later...
